Choosing a specific field of study is a crucial step in a student’s academic journey. Recognizing this importance, the Education Department of HM-PS Mathematics UIN Sunan Kalijaga once again facilitated students through the Concentration Socialization event held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Theatrical Room, 1st Floor, Faculty of Science and Technology.

This year, the event carried a philosophical theme: “نَسْجُ المَنْطِقِ، تَقْدِيرُ الرَّجَاءِ، تَحْقيقُ المُنَى (Nasjul Mantiqi, Taqdirur Raja’i, Tahqiqul Muna).” Through this forum, participants were provided with comprehensive insights into the four concentration areas offered in the Mathematics Study Program—Applied Mathematics, Algebra, Analysis, and Statistics. The event aimed to equip students with a strong foundation and greater confidence in planning their future academic pathways.

The participants’ enthusiasm was evident from the very beginning of the event. At 08.30 WIB, the program was officially opened by the MC. A solemn atmosphere was created when Maziyyatul Hana recited verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the spirited singing of Indonesia Raya, the Hymn of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and the Students’ March led by conductor Elvina Try Mahmudah. The event became even more engaging with welcoming remarks delivered by the Chief Organizer, Fitria Nur Annisa, and the Chairperson of HM-PS Mathematics, Nazaskia Barokah. The opening ceremony reached its highlight with remarks and the official inauguration of the event by the Head of the Mathematics Study Program, Dr. Epha Diana Supandi, S.Si., M.Sc.

Entering the main agenda, the session was moderated by Muhamad Hamdan Mubarok. The knowledge-sharing session was conducted sequentially yet remained highly interactive. The first presentation on the Applied Mathematics concentration was delivered clearly by Dr. Sugiyanto, S.Si., S.T., M.Si. The academic exploration then continued with presentations on Algebra by Muhamad Zaki Riyanto, S.Si., M.Sc., and Analysis by Aulia Khifah Futhonah, M.Sc. The forum became increasingly dynamic through question-and-answer sessions held after each presentation, which concluded with certificate presentations to the speakers as tokens of appreciation.

After a midday break for ISHOMA, the event resumed with the final presentation on the Statistics concentration delivered by Sri Utami Zuliana, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. The entire socialization program, which was both informative and meaningful, ran smoothly without any obstacles. As a form of gratitude, the event concluded with a prayer led by Anas Raihan Harahap, before the MC officially closed the entire series of the 2026 Concentration Socialization event at 13.45 WIB.
