Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held a public lecture entitled “Overview of MATLAB and Simulink for Artificial Intelligence”. The activity which took place in Room 104 presented guest speaker Mr. Bambang Nugroho from TechSource Systems and Ascendas Systems Group, Authorized Reseller of MATLAB and Xilinx. This event was held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 14.00 to 16.00 WIB. The public lecture was attended by lecturers and students from the Mathematics Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, especially those who use MATLAB to support their research.

In his presentation, Mr. Bambang Nugroho explained the great potential of MATLAB and Simulink in helping solve various research problems in the field of mathematics. With the introduction of MATLAB's excellent features, such as big data processing capabilities, statistical analysis, to integration with artificial intelligence technology, participants gained new insights on how to maximize this tool in supporting their research.

This public lecture aims to enrich the knowledge and skills of lecturers and students in using MATLAB as a research tool. With a deeper understanding, participants are expected to be able to utilize this technology to solve complex research challenges, both in the field of applied and theoretical mathematics.

The enthusiasm of the participants could be seen from the many questions asked to the speakers, especially regarding the practical application of MATLAB in artificial intelligence research. Mr. Bambang Nugroho also shared tips and tricks for using MATLAB more efficiently and provided insight into future trends in the use of MATLAB and Simulink in research.

Hopefully this activity can provide great benefits for lecturers and students and encourage them to continue to develop competencies in utilizing advanced technology for research in mathematics and other related fields.
