UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, through its Center for Innovation, Intellectual Property(LPPM), successfully held an Innovation Capacity Strengthening Workshop on Thursday, April 2, 2026. The event took place on the first floor of the Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Building (PAU), from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The workshop was attended by Heads of Study Programs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, including those from the Mathematics Study Program. The event aimed to strengthen academic innovation capacity, particularly in research development, intellectual property, and the downstreaming of research results within universities.

Presenting as a resource person were Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Sc. from Gadjah Mada University, who presented strategies for strengthening research-based innovation in universities. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Nur Atik, M.Kes., Ph.D. from Padjadjaran University presented material related to the downstreaming of research results and strengthening collaboration with industry. The event was moderated by Priyagung Dhemi Widiakongko, M.Sc. This facilitated an interactive discussion between the speakers and participants. The discussion was dynamic, with various questions and responses related to the challenges and opportunities for innovation in higher education. Through this activity, it is hoped that the Heads of Study Programs will be able to implement more effective innovation strategies and encourage improvements in the quality of research and downstreaming at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
